It certainly would mate, and would be great fun too ... ;D ;D When you say leccy, do you mean electric (points) or electronic (pickup) ? Your probably gonna tell me now that PK's were never ever made with points aren't you?!? Or were they

no not LED just standard universal rear / brake lights.
Not wired up yet but I think one is a brake and the other is tail as there is only one bulb in each. Will have a look tomorrow and see what I can figure out.

whats the hole above the lights for Jim? dont the wires go thro the back?
did that seat have "piaggio" on when i had it?
youre getting on faster than me - i sprayed the underneath of mine today with some zinc anti rust primer. i'm leaving the stonechip for you ;D

Stonechip done, ready for the old satin black now!!! Anti rust primer? Hoping good old red oxide will do that!
hole above is the original wire hole. Gonna cover that up with a PK50XL badge.
Had a look today they are twin filament bulbs so rear and brake in both and will both work together. SIP sell some that are shallower and use 2 fuse bulbs, would have preferred those but never mind.
PIAGGIO? I didn't put it on...

they come on a metal plate that also holds the numberplate - I just took em off and cut holes in the frame to slot em through
Holesaw, drill, dremel, file....new lights, DONE

tail lights - is it legal to not have number plate illumination? The std lights on most recent vespa's, i.e. pk/px/cosa have a clear strip underneath, on the reflector/lens which in theory is meant to illuminate the number plate.

Yes, your number plate must be illuminated. Not having it illuminated could cause an attentive MOT tester to fail your MOT, or perhaps it could be just the excuse the old bill need to pull you over and check out every last detail of your scooter.
There are some very sexy LED number plate lights on ebay. They aren't much money and they aren't too expensive.
Good luck
