Hello fellow scooterists,
greetings from Norway!
I've been following the forum for quite some time, but now I feel it's time to start contributing to the community.
I've have for some months now been working on a project nicknamed "Ferdinand", which, at least in Norwegian, is a famous young bulls name.
The concept will be to modernize the V50 and present a "Vesporghini", a crossing of two italian breeds... hence the name: All Lamborghinis have bulls names, right?! ;-)
Now, I'm not totally new to the scooter scene, I've been driving and restoring Vespas since 1995, but I have not been active in any scooter club until now.
Say hello to my daily drivers, a well patinated 1966 180ss, and a self restored 1973 V50s:
[SEE PICTURES IN LATER POST]
(I can present the smallframe in another post, if people are interested)
Here is Ferdinand some weeks ago:

Current status of engine; Completely disassembled:
[SEE PICTURES IN LATER POST]
Engine specs:
-136 Malossi kit with a Mazzuchelli 24/25mm longstroke crank, giving 140cc
- Malossi reed valve & either 25 Dellorto or 27 Mikuni Powerjet (have to try...)
- Parmakit 1kg flywheel and electronic ignition
- XL2 racing clutch
- Upgear (don't remember ratio)
- Total rebuild of engine, all new gasket and seals, LOOKING FOR SOMEBODY TO WELD REINFORCEMENTS...
- Polini Evolution exhaust
Bodywork planned:
- Lambo orange topside & Lambo athranzite engine/"silver" parts"
- Possibly full hydraulic front brake (again, if I find a welder...)
- Possibly speedo conversion.
- SIP racing seat
- Details and clues from Lamborghini
- Front & rearlights: Surprise?
Current status:
- Ferdinand is totally dissassembled, incl. engine.
- Most parts (courtesy from mainly SIP & Beedspeed) ordered
- find somebody to weld the reinforcements in the engine
- start sandblasting parts... :-)
Next posting will follow shortly & I hope I got the picture thingy here correct... ;-)
Comments are much appreciated!
Thanks,
...Turbojeger
