So with all that talk of people building smallframe sprinters and with the scooter shootout (x race round 5 for 2012) fresh in peoples mind. Whos going to be entering the X Race Scooter Championships 2013?

i'll maybe do the shootout. I wont be heading in full time sprinting yet. For me , its fun for a bit ... but doesnt quite give the rush racing does.

X Race was only 6 meetings this year which the LCGB Lincoln rally and The Scooter Shootout were 2 of. I think the good thing about this for me is that you dont need a full bike licence as you can get an ACU permit for the day at each of the events. Also Ive just heard from Pete Newby that Shakespeare County Raceway are now willing to observe people without full licences to see if they are safe enough to drive their machine. If successfull you will be registered with them and then you will be able to sprint at any of their events!!!!
Great news for people that dont hold a full bike licence ;D ;D ;D

i could possibly be interested if i have a machine that is competitive next year. i did join this year (straightliners i think its the same) but didnt have the time to commit to it, but if its just six rounds i could manage that. i like the fact that its quite simple (suits me!) and does not require thousands of pounds to do.

Im interested for sure. Although my setup wont be amazingly competitive. But, who cares ;D At the end of the day shaggy that really doesnt matter as in reality your only competing against yourself. In my mind as long as by the end of the year I've improved on my own times and speeds then I'll be a happy man. The only time anybody else will matter is if I get to be No1,2 or 3 in the class and I doubt thats gonna happen anytime soon ;D ;D ;D Ive just decided tonight that instead of focusing on getting my new frame ready I'm gonna focus on converting the lil green meanie into a sprinter. Once and only once I've done that will I think about the new frame at least that way I'll have a sprinter up and running soon

Ive managed to find out that the dates for next year are currently being worked on but the Santa Pod 2013 dates are the 7th April the 4th 5th 6th May and the 5th 6th October and that these events will all have a round of the XRace scooter championship! I live about half hour away from the Pod so this is great news for me ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

After Elvington Scooter Shootout, I've got a itch that needs scratching next year ;D I also put some really slow times so the new Falc engine will hopefully cure it ;D

Whilst it was a good machine. I didn't look at it as this was a 2 wheeled event and I didn't see the point. There is great engineering everywhere but again.... This was a 2 wheeled event and I wasn't interested.

This was a 2 wheeled event and I wasn't interested. I personaly would'ny have given a shite if it had 19 wheels. As a matter of fact that would have made it even more interesting to me. ;D However my interests span more than just scooters and basically anything that has been made to go faster than it should do or anything that somebody has built from scratch and goes fast really rocks my boat. I guess it just a matter of what your into really ;D I just love the thought of building something from scratch, being 12" of the floor and hurtling down the strip at over a 100mph! Awesome Trev keep up the good work

I thought it was great, I love old twin two stroke motorbikes and had a GT 250 short circuit race bike long ago. My only question with it was why go to all the effort to reduce drag by engineering a frame so you can lay down 2"off the floor and then stick your pipes right up in the air like that. It looks great but defeats the whole objective of the design unless its something to do with downforce?
