Yeah, Beedspeed. Whilst you're ordering it I'd get some cable pullers, clutch removal tool and a flywheel holding tool.

got the nut loosend, saw the threads for the removal tool so will get one, and the other stuff to thanks guys, my mate loosened the flywheel nut whilst i shut my eyes shouting "no" "no", he shoved a screwdriver in the inspection hole for the points, and wedged it against something in there, wasnt that tight after all, luckily he did no damage..!!

Removed the fly wheel today using the following method as advised by other members of the forum Firstly we removed the flywheel nut from the centre We then used the flywheel puller tool purchased today from mototech scooters in Newcastle for £5.99 The puller screws down into the centre of the flywheel via the threads around the outside of the hole on the flywheel. then the centre bolt on the puller is tightened down until the flywheel breaks free from the centre shaft. Exposing the points, condensor and the stator and wiring.

The frame has gone for blasting by standeasy coatings in Newcastle today for a rice of £60, that includes the headset and the gear selector, then it’s painting time, am driving it all the way to Scotland to be painted by a guy recommended to me by a member from here. We wanted to go old school colours but I think the smallframe lends itself better to custom paint, so we are thinking at the moment HOUSE OF KOLOR fire red metal flake. Photos will be posted this weekend of the blasted frame when it returns. We also have some new parts from scootRS but unfortunatley the rear shocker threads were damaged when it arrived amongst the other stuff, we have emailed them and it will be interesting to see the response. We have also just placed an order with allstyle scooters in the UK for some more parts we need. The front fork and one wheel have been sent to www.aerocoat.net/ (thanks Juan) using their aeromax coating to assess what the finish will be like compared to chroming, if its not up to scratch then we will have the rest of the parts chromed. We orderd from Beedspeed but have had nothing and have rang until im blue in the face, last count was 68 calls and everyone engaged so I have given up..!!

Flywheel, get a flywheel puller makes the job easy. Cables, i ran the new loom in first then just the cable outers from the headset end. Your photo shows which hole to run them through. Clutch goes nearest legshield from memory. Dont forget to seperate and tape your brake pedal wiring and horn wiring out of the loom before pulling through. I installed the inners once the headset and forks were back on seemed easiest to me.
Cheers

Thanks kiwivin, all advice is appreciated. Well today I took the plunge and ordered a seat from scooterrepublic, was looking for something a little different from the norm and they are doing this model, I have photoshopped the finish over myself, they do the brown croc finish, im hoping they can do the cream, just wanted something a bit different, will report back on build quality when it gets here. So far the contact from Sam has been brilliant within two minutes of the purchase I got an email asking about colour schemes, I sent him this mock up and he mailed straight back with photos of samples etc after a bit of discussion we decided on the final style. Great contact from scooter republic so far.

had the wheels aeromaxed, couldn't afford the chrome..!! The finish is not bad at all, maybe i should have prepared the edges first before they went but you live and learn, and i know all of you racers will hate the center caps but i like old school, and its better than those shabby bolts..!! You can tell its coated as it hasn't got the zing of chrome or the reflection but its still a great alternative www.aerocoat.netThe original The finished product
