Just finished "Guns, Germs and Steel". Very interesting if a bit dry and lengthy sometimes.

Doing a bit of shopping this morning and saw "The good Psychopath's guide to success; How to use your inner psychopath to get the most out of life" by Dr. Kevin Dutton and Andy McNab. Naturally I couldn't resist it and will start on it later. Quite looking forward to this as the last few books I've read have really began to annoy me to the extent they got thrown in the corner whilst uttering fuck off you pile of shite.

I enjoyed it. Nice writing style. Not a million miles away from how Murakami writes. My favourite of his being Norwegian Wood. I also rate Bram Stokers Dracula as right up there with the best. The story telling is similar to some of the stuff out of the Necrimonicon by HP Lovecraft. A true tome of horror stories, delightful.
My contributions for the moment are;
Edward Abbey's - Desert Solitaire (small book, easy to get involved with) Gregory Robert's - Shantaram (This book is great, a wealth of wisdom) Bulgakov's - Master and Margharita (Satirical irony and fantasy at its best, much brilliance)

read both, and they both served to unite the peasents under the control of various rulers and encourage a lack of ambition or free will. the curan does however say that if your wife is disobedient or disrespectfull beat her daily and make her sleap apart from the family. in other words slap her around and put her in the shed (not what i would call nice)

Thats why a dog is better than a woman, you can lock yer dog in the garage for a couple of hours and it will still be glad to see you when you get back, try that with the missus!

no time for psycolology, it explains everything and predicts nothing. so unlike maths or engineering it`s not a propper science just bullsh*t, however guy martin does come across as a decent bloke.

Have been know to drink a bit of guinness and black in my youth, now as I'm older and more bitter I prefer the bitterness of the pint on it's own. Definately tastes better in Ireland too.

Read and enjoyed a couple of Ben Elton's but not read that one. Am currently re-reading The Blade Itself from the First Law Trilogy by Joe Abercrombie. Kind of Lord of the Rings with lots of swearing.

I'm currently reading Homage to Catalonia by George Orwell. I've read it a couple of times before. Brilliant book. Nothing so far about Spanish PK anomalies..
