Anyone tried them yet? Seeing as I won a 130 in need of a piston for £2.45 yesterday I'm wondering if the GS item justifies being almost twice the price of standard given they're pretty solid as is.

Is it worth spending that much to put in a second hand cylinder? spec looks impressive though you could get a whole new polini kit for not much more.

It needs a new piston anyway so yes in theory.
I'm not convinced I need it for what I'm doing with it though,it's just going to be used as a replacement for my ETS with no tuning other than matched transfers.I reckon if you were going for a higher state of tune (big carb, exhaust etc or a Worb5 spec job) it's probably worth the extra. But I've had no reliability problems with previous 130's so I doubt I'll bother.

maybe i'm fixated on getting whole kits, but I'd be worried that it had already been bored out and the piston didnt fit or the head was warped or something ;D

Oh yeh of little faith. ;D
Measure up (B&Q tape admittedly) says 57mm and 'head is perfectly flat.Light hone and all systems go.I have to admit I was slightly worried it would be another TI. ;D
