like i said earlier theres not much of a vintage scooter scene here. Everybody that does have a vespa they ride big gay plastic scooters, very few vintage riders out here. They bikes right off the bat were not shipped here by the masses !There is just no vespa/scooter culture here unfortunatelly Just to give you a idea i went to a drag race event here and there was max 20 bikes! 4 were fast the others were close to stock?? . Back in the 90s,there was a seen here, now everyone has gone hollywood!!! big cars , big bikes, damm i feel like i live in texas!! everything is big here , there is no place for a smallie here... but i hold it down!!! Canada is a good place to live, its cold it snows and when its not raining you can ride ;D ;D where are you guys from?? and hows the scooter/ vespa scene there?

Kleinblittersdorf, Germany. A few of us are around. Not to many though. Mind you, that's the local area only. In Germany as a whole scootering is huge, I'd say. France (which starts 500m from where I live) is quite lifely too. Not in the part close to the boder though.

Is that an old 500 abarth I can see? Your mate must spend a fortune on shipping cost! I see a lot of old italian number plates!

like i said earlier theres not much of a vintage scooter scene here. ...... Canada is a good place to live, its cold it snows and when its not ..... TBH It doesn't really snow in my part of Canada.. well maybe a day here and there, so it is possible to ride year round. Which I have including track days in January. Given our population I would say that there is a pretty good scene including a racing scene tho admittedly not sprinting but on a tracks. Just an FYI TO is not the centre of the universe eh ;D Cheers, Dayn PSRA #76 & Fellow Canuck pacificscooterracing.com

Hi,
Have a look under the general board, there's a sticky for the members map showing where most of us are from.
In Nottingham temps reached about 10 degrees today, shorts and t-shirt weather compared to the last 6 weeks or so. I reckon should be OK to get the scoot out at the week-end.
Plenty of local clubs, quite a thriving scene to be honest.
Rob ;D

San Diego here. Not a bad Vespa scene here, but very few Small Frames. Our Mods vs. Rockers weekend a couple of weekends ago was fun though: www.slide.com/r/gJv8B94Ycz-2VLBvb4EX2JLhtLMar7QRYour friend's collection is AWESOME. If I ever get back to Canada I'd love to see it.

Thats what is so good about UK, scooter runs all through the Summer, 5,000 scooters at August Isle of Wight, loads of smallies and just a great scene. Was probably a little bigger and a lot younger in the late 79's early 80's but after getting back into iy in late 2000's I'm now well and truely hooked again and now about tro build my first two smallies, 1971 50 special and a 1967 125 Nuova Rich
