Swallow,
Two books you might like are Vroom by the Sea by Peter Moore and Sweet Honey,Bitter Lemons by Matthew Fort. Both are about riding around Sicily on Vespas.

Just reading that Mathew Fort book and he's hardly mentioned the bloody vep. Just keeps banging on about food. Fat twat. Also just got back from Verona / Lake Garda, they seem to look after yon owld mopeds better there than anywhere else I've seen in Italy. Again mainly 50 speshs but also some very nice old large frames and even a few lammies (which are very rare in italy these days) Even bumped into the Vespa Club of Breschia on a day out to Sirmione! What did you think to the food & wine though Tom? I had some Pesto and they's bloody well made it with Parmigianno rather than the generally accepted Pecorino!!!!!

Just been rereading this thread - bought back memories, that holiday was two years ago!
Haven't been back to any smallframe friendly countries since but have just booked a couple of weeks in a smallframe contentious country
Yep I'm going back to Vietnam ;D
