How many of his old bikes does Norrie still own? I seem to remember him having about 3 but the last time I searched on Dummy Tanked it seemed the hosting was down.

He had his 3 ultimate racers.. Lc1, K1 and his grasstracker. An amazing day which has resulted in Ve support and sponsorship for the hornet. There is of course improvements over the years. But sitting on that Lc1 made me realise just how ahead of his time Norrie and Lc1 was. I had a look at the motor.. its very neat as you would expect of any motor Norrie produced. I know it had a one off crank to solve balance issues. Barrel was a heavily modified Autisa.. it was so neat it looked like a factory part. Back then btw Pk forks werent allowed in V range vespas. I would imagine he modified the drums as I did. It was all complete.. had good compression and looked great. It felt very balanced too with the rad on the front. So chuffed to have sat on it

Didn't know NK was a shortarse too... Juan's absolutely right, the LC1 does still look the mutt's nuts. How old is it? (In it's current guise, not the age of the frame.) Seriously though, nice guy? Did you take the LC1 for a spin? ;D

From memory it dates from '85 at least but I'm sure Tony can give us more acurate history.
Norrie wasn't tall but always pretty stocky as was Turbo Terry and probabley those 2 were some of the best smallie riders we've seen. Certainly both of them were tuning Genius's. Can't really recall but I'm sure that Tony can but I think that Fast Eddie that used to ride for Mikeck wasn't exactley a Whippet either.

Norrie and Terry are/were taller than me.. Eddie was a little taller than Norrie from memory but quite stocky. It was Lc1 I wanted to sit on. I'd raced against K1 you see. Lc1 was the epitome of 90ss development. As some of you know I got Norrie's blessing before I painted the Hornet green as a tribute (not replica) to Lc1. Hence why the Hornet has black stripes and not white. Lc1 had to remain unique. I didnt ride it Oli. Race bikes like this like a rebuild after strorage. It had good compression tho and the clutch was working fine. I think it would fire up no problem... Maybe Norrie will let me rebuild it for him as he is so busy (I know you are reading this Norrie!!) and then Norrie can take it for a spin sometime
