Spent the last couple of hours trying to find out what an air bellow does. Its fits around the manifold but what role does it play. Found this description on scooterworks.com "Bellow for all smallframe Vespas. sits between the intake manifold and the frame, keeping dirt out of the underseat area." Is that all it does? thought with a name like bellow it would have something to do pressurised air? Rob

yep i think thats about all it does. can't really see the point. my ets manifold goes straight into the carb without either a bellow or that other metal sleeve thing, all other small frames with std carbs (19/19 and below) have the bellows.

seals the frame to act as airbox believe it or not! bit like the flat plastic panel on a prange. However removing it on a smallie doesnt have a similar effect to losing the panel on a standard px. smallie air intake is under the mudguard.

Under the tank, between the panel lock mechanism.

Ah okay, never ventured under the tan my p2.
My SV had a plastic panel that clipped into the floor under the tank, but when I changed the loom it wouldn't fit anymore - is this the same sort of thing?
And what difference will running without it make?
