So to the point in the build where I install the stator and Im planning my electrics for the scoot. Two head scratchers came about today: 1) There are four wires coming from the stator. The instructions indicate two of them for the CDI, One of them for the lights, and they dont say what the 4th wire is for??? It isnt a ground as this stator is grounded through the case (and they talk about that in the instructions. Ideas? 2) The instructions show installation with initial timing of 25 BTDC (the CDI has a retard of 7 deg by 7000rpm). Doesnt 25 sound a bit too much? The cylinder kit (Parmakit) says to run stock advance, unless using aftermarket ignition, which then they dont give any recommendation. Italian instructions

The 4th wire Red/White is if you run a battery. Parma instructions are shite. I used Varitronic instructions on my T5. www.lambretta.co.uk/downloads/varitronic02.pdfIgnition timing is always set safe for high revs. ie 19deg. Strobe ya timing 19@7000. That would be 24@tickover.

Must admit I struggled with the info that comes with the kit. You'll need a PX brake switch if you haven't already got one. I used this set of wiring diagrams, unfortunately I only have a hard copy the actual file is on my computer at work and I'm not there for a couple of days. I'll post it if I can remember......
