having looked at the cases the 3 stud cases seem to have a very small sealing pad. not worth a wank if i want rotary induction, ive never had these b4 but it seems i dont have much to play with, front and back on the pad look like its about 5mm and to the side its about 3/4mm now that isnt gonna meet my needs, do the cases differ and i what way, ive been used to v range cases which seem to offer a much better tuning option. so why does the 3stud have a much larger inlet but a wanky pad

not all of em do mate.. some 3 studs have a bigger pad, and some have more metal on the "back" side. I personally like the early prims, They had most metal cast round the transfers on the back and an ok pad.
