I’ve only ever owned the small frame variety and I’ve not had too much experience even on small frames for some years. But last night i was out on a little ride around where i live with a mate and his friend and the other chaps got a GT that’s intermittently pissing fuel on to the road. This does not happen all the time and only happens when the engine is running. Some of the time when its not happening the engine is back firing a little. The guys not had the scooter long so I don’t know it's history. Both me and my mate think the obvious culprit is the carb and we have advised that it's stripped BUT the petrol does not seem to be coming from where you would expect it to if it was the carb over flowing. It’s further forward and more to the left side. Any one got any alternative ideas?

What kind of GT? The old ones like the Sprints etc. or the modern twist and go?

Okay, first guess is the fuel line is too long / wrongly routed and / or perished. Still can't see how it'd be coming out of the left side unless there's a pool of it in there and only coming out at a certain angle of lean.
I'd give it a good looking over ASAP. Not good.
