can i replace just the ht lead??????

my v100 has a section of ht lead that has melted. i just bought a length but the bloody lead is permanently fixed to the coil?? can i cut out the dodgy section and rejoin a new piece? or do i have to buy a whole flipin coil??? thanks guys.... ;D

You can botch it up but it's not the best idea.If you do then make sure you use plenty of insulation.
