hi people.. the parma variable ignition thats on sip-is it a wasted spark system like the variotronic one they also sell? Anybody know?

If I remember rightly they both are wasted spark systems (180deg ignition spacing).

I guess it is cause these ignitions do not use a pickup but a peak of one of the coils. Means you get two per revolution. But this is only my best guess...

ahh...i've never seen one.. have you used either system? I'm undecided what do for "project falc" Ps.. reply before you drink all that beer pls ;D

i don't have either system, nor do I have all those lovely beers I re-fitted a vespatronic on a mates vespa, the rest of "Knowledge" is theoretical. I cannot afford such stuff, my missus says (joking)

In fact I just paid 230Euros to the fuzz, some wanker of policeman in Austria had apparently seen me crossing a double white line and riding against a one-way (I don't remember). But instead of sending the letter to UK they left it somewhere behind their f****g office radiator and sent the bailif guy to my parents house this is ONE reason why I don't have a vespatronic.

They're both the same.....I have the Vespatronic. Varies the timing by 8 degrrees automatically with a set pre programmed curve. Its quite cool when ya see it when ya strobe it up! ;D
All in all I like it, the output from the rectifier is excellent and powers ya standard Halogen bulb no probs.....
and no I'm not getting paid by them.......lol
