What a top notch day...... ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D grinning from ear to ear all the way home.... MASSIVE THANKS to Tony and John, for making the time to chat and answer loads of questions in the middle of a days frantic racing.... the day has totally blown me away cant believe how welcoming ALL the racers were if any of you reading this are thinking of going to spectate do so, it was tops, and has progressed loads since i last went along to watch... also the scooters are more technical than i ever thought possible, and many look far tidier than most road going scoots.. nice to catch up with breezer (jim) again aswell...

look tony smile were on camera again.. tony you may have had some serious clutch slip from lap 2 of the second race, but the only 2 racers to beat you into 3rd were the best tuner in the country (charlie) and a fella on a heavily modified 250cc CUT DOWN LAMMY... If thats a let down cant wait to see a GOOD DAYS RACING.... ;D ;D ;D please say thanks to your mate keiran for being a top lad... and also fair play to Charlie (performance tuning) Edmonds, what a totally sound guy, made the time to explain loads of stuff in a VERY MODEST WAY, fine tune 4 scooters and BLITZ two wins out of two... cheers Col

really nice to meet you Col and cheers for your time and of course pictures... I'm glad you enjoyed it.. also thanks to the other smallie forum crowd in no order at all.... ste,marcus,ben,jim,hank,daz... were there more... I think i missed one... my brain gets frazzled at race meets.. The good news is although the proto clutch died in race two just after I got up to second I did have an onboard camera on to prove it..! So i'll get this vid up asap. I've seen some footage and I hope it will get some of you interested to have a go. in the meantime thanks to Keiran Doherty for some of these shots.. the hornet website will be updated with more tomorrow.

Blinding day out as always, good to catch up with everyone again. Influenced? Definately - I've decided I want a go as passenger on a sidecar outfit. No chance of it being a vespa engined beast though...

Afternoon Mr Scooteristforever
Great snaps and have to agree with your comments on how welcome you are made to feel.
Every one is very friendly and advice to mortals like me is always given no problem by the race guys.
Went to Donnington last year, and was hooked on the atmosphere and yesterday again was a great day out despite freezing your tads off!
Good to see some familiar faces again.
Thanks again to John Woods for advice and cylinder head for old school cylinder kit.
Hope to meet up with you at a meeting.
Would have liked to have met Mr Breezer also and thank him for my engine stand.
Daz.

Im glad everyone enjoyed the racing, my two races were enteraining to others(or so im told ) Race 1 i had managed to suck some shit into the carb in practice and as the race when on the scooter died when i shut the throttle, bad enough i stalled it and had to bump start it to finish the race in 12th. Race 2 and the beast was flying, so much so twice i got caught out by the speed and could not get it slowed down enough to take Edwinas . i managed to lose 4 places but at least i worked out were my new brakeing point is. finished 10th New front spring and disc brake going on order. Great to see the lads from the forum. Thanks for the support and cheers to Tony and Charlie who are helping me along, i am getting quicker. Finally scooter pulled over 11.000 (11200 race 1 11800 race 2) which is high 90mph not bad for a vespa eh. cheers john

Would have liked to have met Mr Breezer also and thank him for my engine stand. Daz. Hi Daz, sorry I should have paid more attention as to who was attending. It was very much a last minute call after watching the weather forecasts for a week. maybe see you next time! Jim

BROWN race leathers for breezer.... It's the new black Col! ;D Seriously though I do fancy it. I think it maybe something to do with fancying nurses and the thought of an extended period of time off work
