I bought this a month or 2 back and forgot about it..just tried it on and it seems I can't get it to fire... Probably something I am not seeing but advice would be great. Would you say that it is of an et3 and would you say its a small taper? it looks nowt like the back of the one I have on at the mo and seems to nip up a bit tight against the stator.... Cheers. ;D

Cheers Juan, thought as much The guy I got it from said it was of an et3, but he was italian and probably didn't understand google translator so just said yeah.. He has offerd me my money back but by the time I post to italy I may aswell just keep it.. Must say, I would have expected there to be a raised bit on it for a points one though But then I am just guessing.. Oh well, Still after a lightened flywheel, and this one's for sale if anyone is interested before it goes on epay??? 1.15kg I think it weighs in at, and is all balanced too. Oh, and has anyone got an electronic one they don't want??

Cheers. I thought that but then thought I had seen an electronic one with a slot hole in it before.
I've seen tools which use the slot hole as a holding tool...

You are right there are also electronic flywheels which have the hole, the tappet as well as the "offset magnet fingers", which identify an electronic FW as such. Looks about like this:
