Is there any difference between the NGK B7HS and the BP7HS besides the platinum tip?

the p stands for a protruding centre electrode, not platinum, if ya look at the b7 the electrode is flush with the top of the plug thread and the bp7 the elecrode protrudes about 5mm above the thred

also the BP plugs were made for boats your better off with the B7HS unless you want a Hot plug try a B6HS...
and stay away from the BR7HS the last thing you need is a resistor plug...
