Following on from a thread on SBW what's everyone's opinion on this: Where there once lived an electric starter unit, should a blanking plate now reside? Does the lack of starter or plate affect the cooling? Positively / negatively? Cheers Jim

My thoughts are it's better blanked off if only to stop water and crap thrown off the rear wheel getting in.IIRC you can buy rubber grommets to fit and I'm pretty sure someone told me that Eddy Bullet stock them.

Hmmm, yeah think I will go with that...
Heard EB sell grommets for PX's, not sure if they are the same size as PK.
Might try and fabricate one from a can like someone else on SBW did...

on my pk80 electric start engine, I've just left the starter motor in, so no hole ;D presume you havn't got it to put back in?

cut out a circle from a metal biscuit tin and bolt it over the hole damm useful things, biscuit tins
