Hi, just been dry-fitting my pk fork & shock.
When I got the fork there was no mounting bracket with it, so on the advice of someone on the yahoo group I got an ET2 or 4 mounting bracket which fits the forks PERFECTLY.
When I come to fit the shock (cheers Juan) the hole in the mounting bracket is about 1mm all round wider than the pin at the top of the shock.
I have yet to put the rubber buffers etc on, and it's a long time since I took the PX fork apart and can't remember if this is correct or not.
Is this gap around the pin okay or do I need to get this shimmed?
Cheers

Oh and anyone know what size I need to drill the brake cable hole out to in order to route a hydraulic cable through there?

SIP have them Jim.With out dropping one of my shocks (and I'm buggered if I'm going to do that ;D) I couldn't say but I doubt a mill is anything to worry about. As for the size of hole you need to route the hose?I'm measuring the hose at 6mm so I'd got with an 8mm bit to be on the safe side.

LOL, yeah, know what you mean about dropping a shock, I COULD look on the PX but it's a helluva job...
I looked EVERYWHERE for those and everyone said, no don't make em can't get em... looked on the sip site but everything I imagined they could be called bore no fruit!
The hole in there looks big though, and I think the rubber buffers top and bottom when tightened up will hold it securely in place.
Just wondered if some of you "fettlers" knew off the top of your heads...

Just got drill out, 8mm bit chucked up, forks dug out from the bottom of the "spare parts" pile and adjusted to sit nicely in the work bench. ok ready, steady...drill..........oh, they already have an 8mm hole where the brake cable goes, looks like I wasn't the first person to fit a full hydraulic system using these forks...
