this is a very interesting link. i've been thinking about one day building a bench dyno, this idea looks cheap and could probably some how be adpated around a vespa motor; www.kartingtechinfo.com/tech/dyno.htmthere is also a link on this page to building inertia dynos anyone ever made a small bench dyno??

Havin ya own dyno would be wicked, not sure my neighbours would agree ;D
I personally like the look of the GSF dyno system that can be used on your scoot on the road then brought back to download the info....only thing it doesn't tell you is the info as your thrashing the nuts off it!! Its apparently very accurate when its set up.....can be used on a inertia drum tooooooo.......

yeah i noticed it could be used with a drum..... i've been thinking, how hard would it be to make up somthing to run a large flywheel of the crank shaft, and use the GSF............... the hydrulic dyno looks like a simple enough idea but a bit tedious and not so accurate.... i would need to start saving egg boxes to stick on the walls, my neighbours would NOT like it
