tony, how do you avoid the drag?? my only experience of fourplates has been loads of drag

hi mate I get drag on the standard type clutch with single spring. But what you can try is this..Dry build the clutch. Then use the compressor tool to compress it. Have a look to see how much clearance there is. If the plates don't go free i have before now cleaned off the "flats" at the bottom of the spider in an attempt to give the clutch more room but check to see if its the thick spring thats coil binding and preventing the clutch from going all the way. Had quite a few dodgy malossi springs that don't compress flat and this don't help. They aren't great tho and i Haven't had a lot of joy with em to be honest. This new clutch(xl2) doesn't drag at all with the 4 plates and supplied springs but was awful with the worb5 ones as the springs are too big to use with 4 plates.
