The Polini Evo has a very smooth curve (does not have the Zirri,... kick at ~6000), Power output therefore is not extraordinary, but not bad either (we're talking 16HP on a machined Polini133) it revs to 10500+ rpm. It is well built!

Just tried the EVO today, loud and tinny is to kind, WAY TO LOUD AND TINNY is more like it... I ride motorcross aswell, and i have never ever heard anything this loud from any of my or others MX bikes, it's almost the same as driving without an exhaust....
NOT RECOMMENDED....

NOT RECOMMENDED.... hi i,ve got the evo on my polini 130 and yes it is loud not like race spec more like a hole ( i mean an additional hole) as for power it needs a real revvy 9/10 k rpm motor, i find it hard to get it pulling fourth gear,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,dissapointing when yyou hit a hill or head wind. Looks good but other than that not reccomended i thought it was made to work good with their kit. Maybe i,m doing something wrong. WOULD LIKE TO HEAR OF ANYONE ELSES EXPERIENCES.

I tuned a mates engine: Polini 130 standard, slightly opened exhaust port and transfers, casing matched of course, modified mazzuchelli race crank, straightcut 2.56, Malossi reed block and 25mm Dell'crapo carb and all this adorned with the EVO. struggels to get it going in 4th at the slightest hill or headwind. This pipe really delivers bandwith, not a lot of torque and therefore not a lot of power either. So you have to rev your little engine til the pistons fly the white flag, before you shift in 4th.
Only way round is a short 4th gear.

The EVO comes with the baffle material too tightly wound. Remove the can outer and pack it with loose packing. It will now be much quieter. The EVO is best suited to modern port designs like the M1 and Parmakit. It out revs every other pipe out there. Mine is matched to an M1 and it is one of the only performance exhausts that allow you, with a little tweaking, to keep your battery box. I haven't myself but it would also benefit from a Zirri short fourth,
