Just won a DR 102 direct induction kit from eBay.I've been talking to the lads on ET3.it and it's been a great help so far.But I've had no help on the gearing or crank front.
I know this is rare as fuck over here as I've never even heard of one before now,but all guess's are welcome.I'm thinking a 2.86 for the gearing(V90/100 if memory serves) and adapting the crank to SS/Sprinter/SR 50 timing.Perhaps this is too mild or to extreme,it's a new concept to me.
All thought are welome.Oz,I'm willing to send it down if you need to measure port timings etc and get your brain working.
Thanks lads.

Dunno mate, must have a couple anyway. On the carb front I'm told the best way on single induction is to use a 19/19 with the manifold shimmed to suit. And use a 1mm packer under the barrel and skim the head down to suit. Not sure on the timing yet. Have a punt on that other one,you know you want to.

why do you need to pack the cylinder and skim the head as most of us do, i'm not sure whether im thinking 1 or 2 projects ahead, pk80 first or pk50xl...........with a mighty 102 di DR tough choice. hey! - just realised that the UTAH plastic pk panels with air scoops that i've just sprayed up for my PKS are in fact XL panels...... ;D what a dummy, overflowing with XL panels!

It raises the port timing so it'll have more top end.
