HI,
I bet your all a bit sick of me on this subject but it is just too tempting..
I am very interested in the M1 kit, anybody any ideas how it would run if I was to bolt it onto my current casings with the transfers matched to the Polini 130?
I know that they say you can get 15Hp from plug and play (but you can get this and more from the matched polini) but how much impact do you think this will have? would it be good and give a little bit more as it is utilising the porting better, or would this have a negative impact and actually reduce the Hp due to whatever...
full setup would be
M1 casings matched to polini 130 (has had extra material added) 24mm PHBL dellorto Mazz Crank PM40EV Polini clutch 6v electronic
What I am after is the extra reliability of the nicasil lining and a little bit more go right throughout the range without putting all the power at the top end as I use this scoot daily I don't want the 25hp monsters that you can aparently release from this kit..
Cheers Shane

I'd always match the ports to the kit. You're messing about with turbulance and restrictions if you don't.

i'd definately match the ports.. for the bit of work its so worth it. it'll never be right other wise, you'll end up with a very expensive high end kit that doesn't behave right. for the sake of a bit of dremel action and possibly a couple of notes to a local welder..

It was the welding part that i was not really wanting to do, just had it all apart and don't like the idea of it being off the road for long.... I have had a bit welded on the inside of the casings already to enable them to be matched to the polini kit but the size of them ports on the M1 are atleast twice the size of them.... (maybe I should have bid on them donor motors on ebay last week...) You hear of people bolting malossi kits on all time without matching the casings and they don't seem to have too much trouble... just thought that when they say plug and play it means literaly that and not, you need to modify the casings aswell!! Hank, I don't remember seeing you mate, can't remember racing a T&G either to be honest, but then I don't normally race anyone, more of a case of I just ride like that all the time as it doesn't really like pottering around... (its the scoot not me, honest: I have a megane also....
