Hi guys, i have a problem with my new phbl 24 carb. I finally pushed my self to mount it (bought it around christmas - happy new year to me kind of The problem is that no gas is getting thru to the spark plug. I checked several times and then finally gave up. I tried the old one 19/19 back and it works ( not really since it is revving like crazy but at least). I remember reading once something about problems with new dell orto's but can't remember what it was. Any ideas ? Cheers Peter

I seem to remember Curare told us of a problem with Si24's from SIP,can't say I've heard of anything else.
As for your problem it's hard to say, strip it down and check that there's no blockages in the jets/the float is working properly.

OK, I cleaned it check the floating and jets everything looks in order ( obviously somethings not). I will work on it later, now i have big problems setting the old carb right : 1 - with 19.19 carb if there's no air filter on i can adjust idle but it still starts to rev out of control if I turn the gas on (this is done in neutral). When I ride it and fully open the throttle then the power disappears - sounds like I need bigger main jet. But already there's gas coming out of the carb (where the air filter should be) 2- if I put the air filter on it is impossible to get the engine run in idle. It just keeps dieing. And over revving is worse. I'm really desperate and don't know what to do. Any help or suggestion would be greatly appreciated. Peter

Sounds more like your oil seals are shot to me.
