can feel a bit of play in the crank and also the 'christmas tree' thing on the other half of the casing (just remind me how you get that off?) presume thats just a bearing thing? barney, where do you get £19 for a set of bearings (see your recent post) beedspeed sell them for nearly £40? should i be looking elsewhere? or maybe juan can tell me where he gets his very cheap bearings from........

You will feel a little play, without trying it in person it's hard to say if it's excessive. I'll PM you details on the bearings later, kids have been playing with my Digi camera and I'm buggered if I can get it to work.

christmass tree comes out if u prise it out with 2 screwdrivers under it twist them 4 leverage or heat case from outside and do same. sometimes the christmass tree comes out with bearing attached if u are lucky if this happens use screwdrivers or small bearing puller,if it stays in caseings u can try heating ;D ;D ;D

ETS crank - two piece bearing - the inner ring is still stuck on the crank, should i bother trying to get it off? or just renew the other part of the bearing? its in the right place and i can't imagine its worn, i did try heating it up and trying to prise it off but dont think it'll come easily dont want to damage the crank and have to buy a maz one

some sort of bearing splitter.....looks like the 'devils work' to me but its not the the bearing race thats on the crank, its just the inner steel ring (two piece bearing), think i'm gonna fuck my crank up using that, no? It's for removing the ring. Trust me, work much better than a angle-grinder.
