Hi. The engine on my PK50XL is dead....Fact.
I have been quoted £560.00 to have it all reconditioned and to have a 110 kit fitted at the same time.
Is this reasonable?
Urgent answers pls as i need the scoot on the road.

Plus they have all the fun of setting it up... I'm with barney on this one, although they'll have trade prices their figures will be minus VAT as well. As long as it's all hunky dory, it sounds pretty good to me, if you can afford it, why not. Me myself, i'm just skint (it's normally the labour thats the killer) and i'm trying to ignore the crank upgrade, (115cc set up). Also if the deals shit, you can always come on here an vent your spleen. ;D

If the crank is dead, then upgrade to a longer stroke crank and fit 125 top end or 135cc kit. That amount of money, just to rebuild a 50 motor and stick a 110 kit on seems way out to me. The only reason I can think of to use a 110 is that the crank doesnt need changing, so its a nice easy bolt-on for a 50cc motor. If the engines getting a full rebuild it's stupid to use the 110 kit & standard crank.
