Finally got round to my scoot on saturday, tapped the axle out no probs, the selectors were the main problem, i tried so many different ways, got distracted by the football and a ferocious hangover and suddenly the axle was in my hand, so i don't know how it came off the selectors, maybe it won't be to difficult on the way in... Anyroad what i did notice, was what looks like a dried oil pool in the crankcase, it had been sitting for a while, but it looks like it's been fired (heat dried) in place, i'm not to sure about this, hence asking to see if anyones got any experience of this or have i still not recovered from my hangover and still got the fear! What should i use to clean it off without damaging the case?

If so try oven clean and a soft brass wire brush!
