I Found on stripping the forks from my Spanish T3 primmy that both top and bottom bearings were of the loose type, I ordered a new set from Beedspeed which are caged- the bottom ones seem much smaller than the ones fitted so I ordered the complete lower track this also seems smaller. Anyone else come across this the scooter appears never to have been stripped before.

I've got that set-up on my Sportique so I presume that it was common practice on earlier models.Guy is probably the best man to confirm this.
If so I'd have thought it would be simple enough to get replacements from All Styles or the like.

Czechers asked me about it the other day. Never seen it on a Smallframe. My Spanish import had normal caged type

never seen it on a smallframe, but as JUan says,Sportique etc is the same. I'll ask a mate of mine,Rob Fernandez, he's had a few Spanish smallies through his hands. Its about time he joined us, come to think of it...
2 options really.... 1. Convert to the full caged set up on normal smallframes. 2. If the tracks are still good, buy replacement balls from a bearing supplier. Take the old ones in so they can match them.

I'm going to convert the bottom ones (I already fecked the dust cover getting the mudguard off, so it had to come off.) the top ones look the same size so I'll just replace with a caged set.
Thing is the bike isn't that ancient 1980 I'm told.
P.S. Jaime says he found an abandoned one without engine but otherwize good -in Barcelona- anyone? He said i can have it (but will need shipping.)

I'll ask -he sent a Vega here for about £110 but the primmy was a bit dearer. They were both completish. The company was a bit pony on this side their truck had no tail-lift and me mum and the neighbour had to help it off the back
