both pk engines I've got have the same problem, I cannot get the f***ing axle nut off! I've tried wd40, penetrating oil, heat, wont budge, manual impact driver no good, should I get someone with an air tool to get it off? will that do it, I no nothing about air tools and how good they are.

i find a 3 ft brake bar [halfords]does the trick ,try slipping a scaffold pole over if realy tight and make sure u are going the right way 2 undo .A 2 person job if engine out of frameleaving in gear also helps but not much

both engines are out and wheels off, so for one person its not easy. I'll try and clamp the engine to something and get someone to hold the brake on and try the breaker bar option. it is a normal threaded nut isnt it? I should be going anti-clockwise?

Make a hub holding tool. Piece of piss to hold hub then. Old rim half & a bar. Make one with a much longer bar for front hub, so it'll foul againts top of forks to hold it. Alternately take it to someone with an air impact ratchet. It'll be off in 2 seconds.

Got myself a big breaker bar, put it in gear and was able to get it off, now to try the other engine and do the same.

An electric impact wrench is cheap from Machine Mart and makes it a really easy job.
If that isn't man enough you need to take it to a place with an air one.

cheers, but got it off with breaker bar! great leverage, very useful investment, the complete opposite of a manual impact driver (ie. waste of money, dont buy one)
