I'm sure it'll be OK with a standard engine. The engine doesn't dissipate heat through the cowl, anyway. Might stop it cooling down quickly when you switch it off; useful if you're making short journeys 'round the houses, but not so useful if it nips up and you want it to cool down quickly! All of the above is pure speculation, of course...

::)well then if its all speculation im sure it'll be fine''as im not intending to really do any long journeys on it'' thats what my smallie is for, talking about the smallie any suggestions on what could be causing this little prob im having with it,first of when its ticking over every now and again sounds like its trying to engage into gear not good if it does as dont want it smashed up,also when this happens if i shut the scoot of and go to kick it over i loose all compression and the kick start goes all sort of spongie like, then after a few times kicking over like this compression seems to come back and its all fine again, any ideas......
