anyone have any experience or know anything about the parmakit 225 kits to fit on the 200 cases, im thinking of investing in one as im mainly looking for more torque than standard 200 www.pmtuning.co.uk/index2.htm

I don't like the look of this at all. Single transfer feed and from that I'd imagine it's the same design as the old 230 kits that VE did with the bridged exhaust port where the bridged piece would crack and throw it's self down into your crank. Nasty. I'd steer clear of that and go with a Polini 208.

spoke to them and apparently its the same port layout as standard, just a bigger bore and differant piston, so providing the piston is half decent id say it could be reliable, afterall, stansard p2 port layout has been used for years

Not worth the money IMHO, it'll give very little gain over a standard barrel.

If it's torque you're after you should go long stroke. I am working on my engine at the moment. In a nutshell... Long stroke pinasco alu, no packing, 13x1,3 squish, malossi extralong and t5 4th gear. 130-73 inlet timing. A couple of friend did it very similar and have as much torque as a turbodiesel. Very impressive. Can't wait to finish mine.
In alternative, Polini is a pretty good choice, plenty more torque than any of the competition, had it for many many thousands of miles no problems whatsoever. Original crank & original timing, flawed all ports, 16 degrees spark timing and spaco 26 with T5 filter. Original primary gear. Soft tuning but very effective. Will fit it again on my next 200.
