Just back from first test sprint meeting of M1-R
Discovered lots of stuff and I was well over geared and jetting needs sorting
Time was 20.5@55mph in third(this was due to crazy side wind trying to blow you off your scooter)
The power of the scoot is very high in the rev range but when it comes in its mental!! and nearly had me off the scooter more than once
Engine wise nothing broke and the clutch seem to hold up well see how I get on next meeting

Hmm, I don't think 29/68 are right for sprinting mate., you'll want something lower.

Maybe try V90 primaries Terry? Worth a go anyway.

Feck!! 29/68!! By my reckoning if the power comes in somewhere silly like 10,000rpm with that gearing you'll be doing (if you'd get there) 87mph when the power kicks in fourth....with a top speed of 113mph at 13,000rpm (which is what they rev to apparently) ;D Ya need a big hill for that me thinks. A 27/69 (which I happen to have going spare (never used surflex tigged etc etc )) will give ya this.....(3.00" tyre) Speeds taken at 10k and 13k. 3rd - 64mph 84mph 4th - 80mph 104mph Anyway not sure where you were coming from with the 29/68 and 27/69 might still be a bit tall, but to be honest the barrel could be your biggest problem for sprinting, the power delivery seems to by too high up the rev range, too aggressive and power band too narrow. Only my opinion of course. Any pics of it then!!

24/72! ;D ... lol!! You are joking yeh? 'Tis indeed mentalness but I think Max said some of the Italian sprinter lads run that with either a 25 or 26 DRT cog. Still reckon that'll be too short myself. Best start practicing hanging over the bars in the finest Italian stylee Terry. Max?

Well, in Italy they sprint over 150m, while here a 1/4 mile is about 400m, so the 24/72 even with different drive is deffo too short. Anyway, I have asked the sprinters on et3.it for suggestions and here is one: " la prima drt รจ d'obbligo, seconda lascia pure l'originale.. a sto punto puoi optare 2 vie :
quadruplo drt da 21 e 3 e 4 corta drt
quadruplo originale e 3 originale e 4 parma
come campana 24 69 con pignone da 25 nel caso sia corta." Translation:1st gear DRT, second original...at this point there are 2 options: 1- christmas tree DRT 21 theeth with short 3d and 4th 2- original 3d and 4th Parma 24/69 or 25/69 primaries. Lets see if we get more suggestions. ;D
