probably all know this already... just been looking at getting a selection of carb jets. Beedspeed didnt have what I was after instock so phoned Eurocarb (dellorto) and found them to be MORE expensive than beedies. have however just found this place which is HALF the price of beedies i am also hoping they will answer the phone with a little more speed too ;D www.piaggiospares.co.uk/sparespiaggio/partImage.asp?GPN=6413-98

well I was getting really excited but just phoned them......
straight to ringing tone rather than the engaged tone I am so used to with beedies (getting even more excited by now)
but then it just rang and rang...... and rang
I dont know, it seems that every business I do business with in the UK is either half asleep, or just plain useless.
as an example we are all familiar with waiting to get through to beedspeed. its like that all the time. this to me suggests that there is a very high demand.
if it were my business I'd take on an extra member of staff to answer that phone. For every one person that perseveres long enough to get through there will be two or three that think sod this, I'll order elsewhere, maybe from GERMANY!!

I'm doomed.
guy called me back, most of the bits i need are in stock - great!
ordered them and gave card details...
"so hopefully for my £4bloody50p postage I'll be seeing those jets in time for the weekend then?" I ask
"Oh no", comes the reply, "we wont be picking/processing your order until tuesday, weve been rather busy lateley"
"FUCK IT, wrong answer m***er f****er arrrrrrrrggh......"
actually I didnt say that last bit but I am quite upset that its another weekend without getting my scoot sorted. Hope this year isnt the same as last year when it takes me until the end of summer to be running again

UPDATE - 6 days since ordering, nothing in the post. Just rang suttons and spoke to the same old boy, havent been sent out yet. Still working to get through a backlog of orders. makes me laugh (and cry)
"we even had to come in on saturday to try to catch up with orders needing to be sent out"
"we're also rearranging the warehouse a bit at the moment"
"cant guarantee that you will have them for the weekend" (which weekend are we talking about, last weekend or next?)
Has anyone seen a film that I think is called "falling down". theres a good scene in it where a guy is sat in a traffic jam and it all starts to get too much for him, tips him over the edge, gets out of car and starts shooting the place up
or is that something I dreamed?
Does anyone fancy opening a scooter spares shop with me? We'd offer polite efficient service, speedy delivery, quality only parts. We'd also answer the phone rapidly.........
Sorry - had to get that all off my chest

haha - just had my second phone conversation of the day to check on progress of posting.
Old Boy says "I sent the warehouse an email this morning to check..."
then pulls this stunt of saying "I'll call them now" - I hear some button pressing then possibly the worst example of having a pretend conversation with nobody that I have ever heard. "in the post today" we'll see.

Honestly, you could not write it...
Postie turned up today with a little packet of jets. Bear in mind that I ordered over the phone, clarifying the part numbers and also entered the items into an online basket that the guy on the phone was looking at, at the same time. Margin for error? Slim.
The jet I thought I really needed was a 95 so I had ordered 94, 95 & 96 to be safe.
I recieved 94, 96 and NO 95 got a 98 instead. Arseholes
@ Barney - I'll see how I get on but may well be wanting that 95 from you if you've still got it? cheers, Tom
on a much more positive note I ordered a nutsert gun from ebay yesterday and some nutserts from two different sellers@ 2pm and they are here with me already in less than 20hrs
