got this in at mine right now , a 90 ss replica originally built by a guy on here craigm just along the coast from me ,an i did the original engine . IMG_3295 by henri briggs, on Flickr . original threads here ,https://vespasmallframeforum.proboards.com/thread/22895/v90-ss-replica-build . unfortunately craig didnt get to finish the build after having a terminal cancer diagnosis . so having got it to the state it is in the photo he sold it to a guy who i built a m200 engine for it. but he never got around to fitting it an then sold the scoot on to a guy who sent it too me to build an fit a egig 170 .so its a bittersweet moment to have it here ,craig was a nice guy an i'd offered to finish it for him . but realising he'd never get to ride it prioritised other things to get done .H

IMG_3379 by henri briggs, on Flickr . now fitted with a crimaz disc brake system , bgm shock an a Crazy Monkey Developements "gentle goat" anti dive doohickey . IMG_3377 by henri briggs, on Flickr . out with the nackered v90 engine it came with to be movable ,to be put aside to be rebuilt later . an dry build the cases an barrel/inlet on the egig170 an fit it to check for clearances . IMG_3381 by henri briggs, on Flickr . not good , inlet will fowl the frame ,so nxt out with the nibbler an open up frame hole .H

IMG_3420 by henri briggs, on Flickr . to discover the pinasco split tubeless rims are rubbing on clutch cover bolts ,even after washers are removed an lower profile button head allens used .so later on its going to be hub an backplate off an fit spacers .in the meantime a sip tubeless rims fitted an its on with electrics . IMG_3421 by henri briggs, on Flickr IMG_3422 by henri briggs, on Flickr . vmc reg box bracket fitted , an then to discover craig had fitted a 6 volt lightswitch . so rummage through my stuff an a 12 volt one found an fitted .suppose ive got too drop brake block now to check the correct switch is fitted there now .though i'll probs meter it 1st an see whats what .H

in the meantime ,investigate why theres clearance issues between head cowl an frame .to discover the fancy bgm shock is about a inch shorter than stock one . IMG_3474 by henri briggs, on Flickr . a trial fit of a stock one shows though now clearance between cowl an frames good ,spring rubs on exhaust .so out with the welder an a top shock mount extensions made . IMG_3475 by henri briggs, on Flickr . new headsets arrived so quick trial fit ,discover top of forks needs altering so clamp bolt will fit through ,then off to be painted . whilst its being painted ,forks out an altered .an also engine out ,to shim over the hub an backplate so the tubeless pinasco split rims will fit an not rub clutch cover . an move the mounts over 2mm to compensate an bring wheel back to centre line . IMG_3459 by henri briggs, on Flickr . all painted an shiny ,time to fit an nervously clamp up . then recable an fit crimaz master cylinder . IMG_3494 by henri briggs, on Flickr IMG_3493 by henri briggs, on Flickr . an its ready to go outside an get bled up ,an oil , fuel put in it .H
