Hi De Hi campers ! ( Showing my age ) I am about to take a peak under the covers at my smashed up scoot , when I stop crying I will start dismantling to see if frame is ok / saveable . I have a straight refurbished set of forks on way , will take grinder to the leg-shields ( what's left of them ) and see how frame looks before going any further. Rear of scooter and engine all fine. The tank is drained , do i need to do anything to prevent rust or will it be OK with no fuel in ? Not much cash so it will be an as and when restoration but would like to see the old girl back on the road with a fresh coat of paint as i've ridden her for last 12 years . After accident I swore I would never ride again , then I said I will just get it fixed and now its " just the odd trip to pub , sunday ride or I.O.W ? No doubt I will be on the look out for cheap parts and will certainly need front mudguard , SIP seems quite cheap for Legshield and floor panel ? Will stick a picture on shortly to remind you of where we are starting from

On advice from Guru Henri I may just look out for donner frame. Above said I will continue with strip down and see how badly it’s twisted, I will need all the other parts off anyway.
