I've seen a Polini head on ebay, similar to the AF Monster head where there are additional fins on the underside of the bottom fin.
Has anyone used one of these on a DR kit? Does it bolt straight on or need machining?
Sorry don't know how to attach pics.

It would bolt on but you would have to check the squish.

The photo says that it's "purely for information" so that might not be what is supplied. Maybe check for other images using the part number they're using: 211.0005

I've tried using the part number for a search which came up blank.
However, while looking on the 'vespatime' site they use the exact same pic for a Polini PX head.

I suspect it is just the recent head for the Polini 135 kits: It should fit on but, again, you'll have to check your squish. Worth the expense and trouble? Don't think so myself, not on a DR kit.

the dr piston has a rounder top that the polini piston, so while it would work the squishband would be wrong, this can lead to overheating, and pinking/detonation so i for one would not recommend it without having the head reprofiled to suit the piston, by which time you may as well get the polini evo in the 1st place

Thanks all for your thoughts, some food for thought there and some logical suggestions!
