It has a different part number for the stator, flywheel and individual coils as well.

What are you working on? An SS90 restoration?

I have a genuine 1966 ss90 which was restored some years ago still very nice, the last owner put a 130cc lml engine in it as a temporary measure and the ss90 engine in a box with it, i have rebuilt the ss90 engine only the stator to sort out as it was missing, and change back to 6v as original. its 12 volt at the minute. i might put the 130 engine in my small door small frame v90 i have also, as tuning a 64 v90 is not that easy. cant seem to see where i can post a picture. just found the way to do it but too large to download ,cheers PS, also got a just restored GS160 in white. which is unused since resto. (oops not a small frame). will that 130 engine go in a small door model, i know its 4 speed what about the gear shifter ,its marked as 3 on the v90.whereas the ss90 already had a 4.?

Small door V90:
It's more whether the cylinder and shroud will fit under the smaller side panel. I have heard of some clearancing with a hammer being required. The shifter will work fine, just won't line up with the markings.
SS90:
So the stator is completely AWOL? You have an original flywheel?

Hi, just the stator missing . the flywheel looks original but has bolts through the rivet holes instead ,nuts punched so they can't loosen. don't know why though ,any ideas. the bike is 12v at the moment so if i kept it 12v , would the flywheel have to change and a 12 volt stator setup, also if the later do they look much different as would like to keep a standard ish look.

All the Piaggio smallframe flywheels look similar. After it gets a bit dirty and dulls a bit, not one will know.
Can't say why they would have fit bolts. Not having seen it, I would be concerned and check it out carefully.
The SS90 is 12v now, so it has a regulator? Switches have been changed from the stock short-to-ground- for-off set-up?
