Afternoon all. I need to insure a scooter. It's not on the road yet and it's not registered yet but I want to have some kind of cover in place in case it gets nicked. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Cheers Michael

I have, "layed up" policy on one of my scooters, that is an ongoing custom build. This is fire and theft only and is through Lexham, you can find their details in Scootering mag. It was reasonably priced too if memory serves. Hope this helps. Mav

Avoid Devitt insurance (sold through the Post office), I have been with them for my large frame for a couple of years, sold the bike on Sunday and rang to inform them, that will be £55 please !!! FFS, I only pay £74 for the year and renewed in March, apparently the fee applies plus the premium if you cancel any time after 14 days, as usual it’s hidden in some random clause in the small print, well pissed off!
i use footman James for the 50 special

yes it`s called the break out fee and it`s a rip how difficult is it for the agent to press the key and say policy cancelled
