i`m looking for a gauss meter NOT an EMF meter can anyone suggest a decent make model
i cant afford fluke stuff

there not cheap ive found , but depending on your phone there is a app that turns phone into a gauss meter , or they can be made . a 9volt supply an a 5volt regulator feeding a hall effect sensor .measured by a volt meter the output of hall sensor rises or drops as its put in a magnetic field depending on north/south . www.coolmagnetman.com/magmeter.htm . i built one ,but only used it with a analogue meter which isnt accurate enough to calculate gauss ,but did show me polaritys . interesting little link. but the calibration seems a little involved
i need a meter for checking the strength and polarity of magnets in guitar pickups as this is what im tooling up for now
