Hi , for a complete novice , Is it relatively easy to fit a new wiring harness into a Pk, ? Engine is out so easy enough to flip over if needed. Cheers

Relatively easy, of course gets easier the more time you end up doing it, are the cables still in place as this could make it a little trickier. Doesn't the loom plug into a big connector block thingy behind the horn cast, so feed down from there as a starting point. I'd tape up any crimps or individual wire to the main loom, particularly as there's wires for the rear indicators. Make's it easier if the brake pedal removed and out the way, but not always necessary, as you can use the opening to wriggle the loom to the rear. Probably layout the loom flat before trying to install it so you get a rough idea as to what wires go where

It's a lot easier than on a Primmy! Good advice from Vin. If old loom is till in place, tie some wire or strong string onto it that is much longer than your loom before you pull it out and then you have something to help guide and pull the new one in.

Thanks for the advice , cables are still in the frame and I'll be replacing them too , would it be easier to just have the inner cables in the frame whilst fitting the new loom then thread the new outers in over the inners after the loom is in place do you think ?

Pull the loom out, then use the old cables to pull a few wires or strings through to pull the new loom and cables back through. Pull the new loom through first, making sure you tape it all together nice and tight and smooth so it will feed through the frame easily. After the loom is in place then pull the new nylon lined outers into place for clutch and gear cables and throttle. If you are putting a new loom in then definitely take the trouble to put new outers in with the nylon/ teflon lining....
