its not that uncommon for numbers to be faint or illegible , guy states they are there but faint . also states vin plates original an present ,more likely its been painted over rather than disguised .an whites a hard colour to read numbers under ,take a pencil an paper an do a rubbing if you interested in it .H

Thanks , I've seen it and found it suspicious that all the numbers and letters of the IGM number and the prefix of the frame number are crystal clear , just the frame numbers are illegible I. I gave it a miss .

people get a bit carried away when looking for vin numbers and over time you tend to get just the vin number rubbed of and the prefix numbers left on ive got a pk that was powder coated and the frame number was almost gone but it still has its vin plate so i just restamped the numbers on

looks good to me and at that price is a good deal as the scoot looks pretty solid and original and has a fancy air scoop side panel

I know of the seller he has bought an engine off me in the past he's a sound bloke and been into scooters for years. Looks like as already been said someone has tried to make it more visible but failed.

Just been looking at some old photo's when I've had to apply for a dating and IGM and model numbers are much clearer than the serial, very much like in the photo. It's almost like there stamped at different times in production. As above that looks genuine to me

It was the seller who pointed it out that the numbers looked dodgy, and he did come across as genuine , Thanks for all your considered and experienced opinions ,

Thanks for your kind offer SF but I'll hang on to that , I picked it up , it's all there , sounds nice and its solid. The front and back bulbs have blown but indicators and horn work , going to change the colour as I don't think baby blue suits me and the white walls will be swapped for black . Have to update the suspension too , think Donkey Kong in mario kart .
