Just wondering which insurance company is worth using and which ones to avoid?

Carol Nash, Bennetts, Allstyles do one through them too. Look around though as it depends what you want as not all offer the same thing. I have been with CN for a while as they do a multi-bike policy.

Allstyles will insure on the frame number if you're going through the process of registering a scooter, I've stuck with them over the years

That's worth knowing about the frame number, might help someone on here.

carole nash for originals an frame numbers ,they dont cancel after 28 days if no reg yet,or charge to change to reg number . bennets for modified/tuned stuff ,they cater for it with there drop downs mostly , keep meaning to try allstyles ,there my local go-too-guys for quality stuff an are a real nice bunch . hastings for cheap insurance on scoots i'm just mot-ing an sorting then selling . avoid swinton at all costs ,there terrible rip-off merchants . I've just taken out insurance with bikesure , they've insured me on my frame number , price wasn't too bad and seemed to know a bit about what they were talking about .

i was with carol nash last year but then they wanted to double the premium and reduce from fully comp to third part fire theft this is for one bike 250cc and one scott with out any claims so carol nash have been sacked as my broker this year.
this year its adrian flux with bikesure as the broker but they are all a gang of theives. if its just a standard scoot and you do not need to have 90 days european cover you may find a local broker is the cheapest

ive tried getting cover for classic cars/scoots/bikes without euro cover an recovery/windscreen insurance .as i'd never use abroad ,there too old for recoverys an ive got it already, an no windscreen guy would have a 66 triumph in stock,(i have in the shed tho). resulting quotes all came back as "specialist" an about double the money , thieving gits . There are two that will never see any of my hard earned again. 1 Bennetts - had no issues with them for years then Mrs nutgones renewal arrives up from £90 to £900 a 1000% increase, made the phone call to ask why, they could not explain it - bye bye Bennetts. 2 Hastings - Made a total hash of things when I got t-boned on my old PK (impatient bloody driver) - took over 9 months to pay out for a non-fault write off - that's the short version.
Currently with Lexham - no problems so far.
