I would double check if it is legal to have a backlight that low. Years ago (in a Galaxy far far away) Mum Piaggio had to redisign a couple of scooters to make them legal in UK. i.e. the very first vespas with the headlight on the mudguard had to have it moved it on the top of the legshiels and the Cosa had to have the backlight moved from the bottom to the top of the number plate...

Still to be deseamed and indicators filled over Just getting the holes right 4 the light. As for height went to see the mot man and he said that there should be no hassle with the light, on chopper the light is usually side mounted and sometimes lower, the fat vespa in scootering had a low light at the bottom of yhe back shock.

Tbh, I would have the number plate where it supposed to go and the light above it. With the number plate so low, it will brake on first road bump.

I can see where you're going with it Stewie - are you going to replace the rear shock with a short piece of solid bar?
