apologies for any thread jack Max No problem, nice to see another one built. After various failed attempts to get replies from Fabbri about the cylinder cowls, I have decided to modify a T5 one: Frame is having some work done and then will be ready for spraying....

production line is looking great ...apart from new holes - did you have to do any mods to make a T5 cowl fit?
have a T5 head cowling to pick up from the post office, undelivered from LTH yesterday pesky useless yanky posty
picked up an SIP #17913400 "Serie Pro" (what does that mean? …aka random supplier) 3mm stainless steel PV flywheel cover spacer, was fricking expensive for what it is - but perhaps time better spent than hacking 3mm polycarbonite sheet to make a cowling shim ...then again

Max, have you ridden a m200 yet?

The T5 cowling needs cutting to clear the exhaust manifold and also at the back to clear the cylinder head.
Not ridden one yet briggsy.

Max.. does all that fit in an unmodified frame? the whole shebang? cylinder w/ T5 shroud? Looks friggin' awesome!

No much progress on the build, still waiting for the frame to be finished. Got the cowl dipped in carbon look and fitted it to the motor:

hi max, are you going to use the recommended 24mm carb? seems small. I am putting my m200 together for touring, and for next years 1000mile ride we have down here in NZ. the intake manifold only fits a 32+ mm size. I think ill run a 28mm. it seems like a good size to tour with and still have enough power? seems so small after running 34mm on my older races scoots, but should be a heap easier to tune. i think this is the right manifiold for a smaller carb- www.sip-scootershop.com/en/products/intake+manifold+quattrini+_15041500but there isn't a pic to confirm it for me. do you know if its the right one? paul

Hi PJ, Yes we are going to use the recommended VHST 26mm carb for the running in and also to get used to the engine. I have bought this rubber manifold from beedspeed and it should fit a 28mm carb too. The frame has arrived for the dry build so I made a little progress.

That looks great max!
Can I ask you a few more questions about it, as I am doing basically the same project?
Did you shorten the pk front end, or is it the sip (already shortened) one? I have a standard pk front end, a new top to put on and my old biturbo (same as yours).
If I shorten the fork, will the biturbo still fit> or do i need to mod the mounts or shock to make it work?
I also have a headset like yours, its missing the innards and gear shift. You can't buy this model in NZ, so not sure where i can get all the rest of the parts. There doesn't seem to be many parts listed on sip- is there anywhere else i can get the parts to put the headset together?
Have you got a shot of your master cylinder and the angle you welded the plate? My headset has that part cut out already from the guy i brought it off who was going to do the same conversion.
cheers paul

If I shorten the fork, will the biturbo still fit> or do i need to mod the mounts or shock to make it work? let us know about the fork max.. and are you using the shortened Bitubo shock? I think they make the shortened version that's like 20-30mm shorter? Are you using this one: www.sip-scootershop.com/de/products/stodampfer+bitubo+racing_70011500for my next project I think I'll use the SIP fork for grimeca, but with this shock.. i wonder if the fork arm (connected to the pivot arm) is short enough or still needs to be cut and shortened. hmmm I like the fender to sit lower and closer to the top of the tire. What do you have going on on yours? Thanks for all the posts max.. you sharing is generous... along w/ everyone who shares pics, ideas and techniques.. one of the things that makes this forum such a pleasure to use..
