Knockhill in Scotland 1990 just prior to winning Group 1. Horrible foggy day and I didnt even realise I'd already won. Came second that day riding the wheels of it to be beaten by Tim Wilson of Taffs who said"what the hell are you riding so hard for? You've already won at the last meeting" DOH! This is Donnington about 98(?) This is my return to scooter racing after a 8 yr lay off. Mallory Park in 99 Lydden Hill in 99 Mallory Esses in 2000 winning grp 3 that year somewhere.. Receiving Group One trophy at the end of 1990. That Kegra's Keith Terry handing it over. Fully sponsored back then by Kegra. about 3 years ago at Lydden-nice exhaust pipe hank!

For Ben. Yes mate.. But there's some history missing that I will add to a race blog I'm working on.. However.. the Knockhill (juan country) pic the motor was a Graham Best (kegra) tuned beast. Run in 'standards' class meant big restrictions. It was a et3 barrel but with 43mm stroke from the 50 giving 100cc. It was a little beast. As always with me I was quicker with it on the big tracks and it set a very good lap time round pembrey equaling or even bettering Keith Terry's group 4 (210cc) lap time on the same weekend. Exahaust was down and forward by Graham and the carb i think was a 26mm amal. The yellow one initially was a grp3-et3 barrel, 51mm stroke ,mappable ign, and was tuned firstly by Graham but as I was working for him I gradually took over. Power was around 15bhp. Later the Malossi kit was allowed and I did this one from scratch. These motors were all rotary valve and no welding allowed to increase port area btw. The malossi made 18.5 bhp on JB's dyno. I've a feeling the last pic with the rough and ready Tony had my 150 proto motor in. This was a fabrizi barrel, proto pipe,51mm stroke.Rotary valve(no welding etc)mappable ign. It made 22.44 bhp on jb's. The issue with this was vibration. I cured it by the end of the season but by then Falc had arrived and I moved on and met Charlie Edmonds. And so the green one arrived.
