Obviously it's a bit thirstlier but not stupidly on the standard carb.TBH the T5 is the one consession I'll give to lardies, fucking love 'em.
It only gets stupid when you go big carb / reed but TBH you're pissing money for little gain.A well set up Polini or Malossi on the rotary is a match, or thereabouts, for most Monster tunes. If you can track one down a Pinasco 162 pisses on both on road terms.
What you after? Pipes play a huge part, definately more than stupid tuning.

funny you should mention pipes, the engine in question came with a scoot that i just bought for (as vg said : my girlfreind kylie. it was already fitted with the molossi kit and a larger rear sprocket. it had a brand new scoot rs pipe but i replaced it with a sito + and the sito was the better pipe making it nice and grunty. ive since put a rebuilt p200efl motor in which suits her as she will not rev a scooter so the p2 s diesel like power delivery is perfect. 1st large frame vespa i have ridden to any great length. that side hung engine is a strange design concept. the small frame is a better package alltogether. shame it was not copied over to the fatty frame.

well it is her engine but chances of her wanting it back are slim. first impressions are "it keeps falling to the right" but now she likes it as there is plenty of lazy power in a p200 plus changing gear is more direct as you get the clunk of confermation with no false nutrals. the body is a 150 super which is think is slightly smaller than standard fattyframes...someone may want to correct me on this if im wrong....as it was an 8" wheel model. the p range motor changes the rear wheel to 10" and pk forks and disc brake turns the front to 10" at the moment it has standard forks and a 8-10" conversion wheel while im putting the front end together. the downside is that her et3 will have to be sold as its such a good and rare scooter im not really happy to see it go.

no my 172 isnt bad on fuel, depends on the rider and be honest you dont buy a T5 and then kit it to go slow
