Its mot time again and don't want to go through hassle I had sat year with the guy over my lights. So can anyone confirm for me what front lights my 50 Special should have and what the switch should turn on and off.
The bulb holder in my headlight has 2 holes one for dual filament bulb and second for a smaller single filament bulb
The switch has following buttons, horn and cut off, then under neath a switch with 3 positions and one on front with 2 positions.
When underneath switch is in middle nothing but brake lights works when pedal pushed. When switched to left tail light and brake lights works when pedal pushed. Over to the right, tail light, brake lights works when pedal pushed and headlight.
With the headlight on the switch on front swaps between powering one or the other filaments in dual filament bulb.
Small bulb does not seem to do anything. Is this a pilot bulb for speedo or should it be a 3 front light?
Thanks
Chris

This is how it works on mine:
toggle switch in the middle, all lights are off (brake light works as on different wiring)
toggle switch on the right, rear light and pilot on
toggle switch on the left, rear light and main bean on
When main bean on, you select high or low with the switch at the front with the 2 positions
Hope this help.

the pilot light should also be on with the main lights as it comes on with the rear light and speedo

you can just wire it so the lights are permanently on and you just select high and low beam
