Morning Rog ..hope alls well ? how are you getting on with your machine I might be there ?? Are you coming over to the roadrunners weekender ? ? Im off to jeromes tomorrow to get me machine set up then i can start having fun ;D Yeah I'm good mate, project is going ok but going to have to put a more standard engine in it for now because I have a couple of large frame projects on the go too and I can't afford any swish smallframe engine kits just yet! Andy from Slick scooters is sorting me out a front disc setup though so I'll have the stopping power, just not the engine to go with it! I was planning to go to the Abingdon do' but it turns out I have a gig in Stamford on the Friday, I might be able to make it there Sat afternoon. I'll be doing a stall a the Newbury fair again, so if you are about I'll see you there. Rog

Looks wicked mate Im confused though, i thought the Falc kit had the carb coming out of the rear attached to a wooping reedvalve? I am i lammby man but really fancy a Falc kit soon, just tryin to get my head around whats what.. So i need to get some kit first will any pk engine do ? Was real supprised to find out the Falc kit is pushing out as much as my new Lambretta RB250 kit! 32hp

Arh so you can reverse the barrel..... Just been delving about on here So am i correct in thinking the reversed barrel [carb up top] gives more power

Hi ashley, Could you suggest a dyno center for me you trust?

Taffspeed for this area they quoted the 32bhp for the RB25 kits that 32bhp Falc was ridden and tested at Scooter Center - Germany from what they say. I aint used one yet but hope to soon

Two totally different animals.......two totally different dynos.
We all tend to get a bit carried away with dynos. On a typical Dynojet setup such as JB, Chiselspeed or Performance Tuning a Falc 152 is doing around 25HP. Where I would suspect a well set up RB250 will be doing a bit more.......the Taffers use a similar reading dyno I think......

The only reference point I know for the JB and Taffspeed dynos is JB's RB225 demonstrator makes 31 on JB's dyno while Taff's RB250 made 30bhp on Taff's dyno.
When both scooters were at IoW, JB had a borrowed Dynopro dyno with him and his 31bhp RB made 28bhp, and Ian's 30bhp RB made about 26bhp.
Hmmm. I'm not sure this tells you anything more than "If you use a dyno as a development tool, then use the same dyno through all the development". Or, if you are going to measure power output for the purposes of comparision of more than one machine, then do it on the same dyno on the same dyno (like we did at Diablo's).
They're just numbers afterall.

yeah yeah yeah i know different dyno's give different readings Air pressure even changes it, never mind all the other possible variables Ok Tell you what though, just got an info pack off Dynojet and a brand new one complete is only 12 grand ... a little consortium would sort that haha When my Taffspeed RB25 is sorted out and on the road im willing to get a dyno reading with one of you lot with a monsterous Falc kit .. All going well my motor should be sorted within the next few weeks and was thinking of getting Taffspeed to tweek it using the dyno. Anyone fancy it ... as i'm well interested to see a comparision

what does the dyno prove? One motor 152 cc the other 250? So who has the most power? I reckon it should be a head to head on the road. My money is on the falc ;D
